exploring our cultural understanding of home
Referencing the uncanny, various aspects of a traditional domestic interior have been manipulated in direct contrast to stereotypical homes of the future (think purely utilitarian spaces, white, functional and interactive). The design outcomes are wide and varied and explore elements of sensory and problem solving design, ranging from chocolate switches and flocked tiles to photographic Trompe L'oeil wallpapers and electromagnetic sheilding materials. All of these elements work together to challenge our perceptions of this familiar environment and our relationship with it.

Up all Night 2009 - Central Saint Martins
The bubble has burst and the champagne has been drunk for some time. It has been a long night but the party years of the Noughties are well and truly over. We are now experiencing the inevitable ‘morning after’.
As a revitalising remedy for fast and effective relief from the recession hangover Central Saint Martins presents:

An annual showcase of postgraduate work from MA Industrial design; MA Textile Futures; MA Communication Design; MA Creative Practice for a Narrative Environments and MA Design: Ceramics, Furniture and Jewellery.
With precious little time for sleep twenty two of our postgraduate design students have engaged in diverse, collaborative and personal projects that predict, challenge and shape the future of their chosen disciplines.

A system for college enrolment that captures some of the complexities of personal identity in a globalised world. The system replaces the current limited categories E.G. African, British, Asian, with a visualization of a personal updateable dynamic logo that tells a specific story, provides a wayfinding system and a course and college identity.
